2010 promises to be a very hot year full of violent volcanic eruptions as MISS LAVA starts working on the release for " Blues For The Dangerous Miles ", their debut album, which will be worldwide available by January 11th via: iTunes, Amazon Digital, Napster , Rhapsody and Spotify.
At this moment, the band also works on a new videoclip for their 2nd single, produced by the German filmmaker Joerg Steineck which is a reference to the stoner rock scene since the production of his documentary " Lo Desert Sound " where members from Queens of the Stone Age,Unida and House of the Broken Promisses participated.
MISS LAVA is now scheduling gig dates for Portugal and Europe, so stay tuned!
After the release of their debut EP, MISS LAVA has released their first studio album entitled " Blues For The Dangerous Miles " via Raging Planet in late 2009. The first pressing was a limited edition and it was available in 4 different covers. The work was produced by Samuel Rebelo and the band, and mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden by Jens Bogren, best known for his work with bands such as Opeth, Katatonia and Paradise Lost. Recordings were coordinated by co-producer Samuel Ricardo Rebelo and Ricardo Espinha (Fonzie, BlackSunrise, More Than A Thousand, etc.).
Another video for the song " Black Rainbow " has been shot ( Click here to view: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpcNvHmjx4Y ), at the Panavideo Studios. Director Bruno Simões, who received several international awards for short films productions have worked on the production and making of the video. He's worked for Murcia Sicarm Festival, Festival Nueva Imagen, and also made visual effects for the recent Harry Potter movie as well as The Narnia Chronicles.
