Hermano Filho leaves Hazy Hamlet

ermano Filho, drummer who has been part of brazilian group since year 2000, has decided to leave the band. The process was very friendly and the request came from Hermano himself, who is going through a particularly decisive moment, and justified argueing he won't be able to dedicate his time to the band anymore.
Hazy Hamlet has his debut already recorded and is currently seeking the best way to release it soon so it can return to the stages as soon as possible.
The group intends to publish the new drummer's name in the next weeks in the official website (www.hazyhamlet.com).

Karl Sanders of Nile To Offer Guitar Lessons in the U.S.

Nile guitarist Karl Sanders will be offering guitar lessons across the U.S. during the forthcoming Nile tour in Spring 2008.
Lessons will include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Extreme Metal Guitar Techniques, Melodic Guitar Application Within a Death Metal Context, warm-up routines, and chops-building exercises.
Sessions are intended for Intermediate to advanced students. Lessons will be at the show venues in the cities along the routed dates of the Nile tour, on a first come first served basis. The the cost of lessons are $100 per hour.
There will be a maximum of 4 students per day to insure that every student gets personal attention and a quality learning experience.

Axemaster would like to introduce the newest member of the band, vocalist Dan Kaisk has replaced Christopher Michael as the front man. Dan has an extremely powerful voice that fits the band's style PERFECTLY, a very welcome addition to the project. The move was made just in time to allow him to be featured on the upcoming Axemaster CD, which will make the release all the more kick ass! The 11th edition of this renowned underground extreme music festival takes place during 24th, 25th and 26th
April. Brujeria (MEX), Enslaved (NOR), Regurgitate (SWE), Rotten Sound (FIN) and Nifelheim (SWE) are among the main acts.
Barroselas is a Portuguese village located between Oporto (POR) and Vigo (ESP). So it is served by two important airports that operate on several low cost airlines. Each year, hundreds of SWR headbangers arrive there.

Pearl Jam, Metallica, Kanye West, B. B. King, Jack Johnson and Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (both below) will be among the more than 100 acts at the seventh annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival this year, the organizers announced. Taking place from June 12 to 15 at its regular spot, a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tenn., south of Nashville, the festival will also include Willie Nelson, Phil Lesh, the Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, Jack White’s Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Levon Helm and the list goes on. Bonnaroo was one of the first rock festivals to specialize in broad, eclectic programming, but along with Coachella in California, it has faced stiffer competition as similar events have sprung up around the country.

This is the well-known Norwegian black metal band MAYHEM, which as well as the already confirmed EXCITER, LIZZY BORDEN, BELLADONNA, GRAVE DIGGER and KATATONIA, will play the 1st of December (Saturday) 2007, in the city of ATARFE (at 11 km from Granada, Andalusia - SPAIN).
This year the shows will be hold at "Coliseo Ciudad Atarfe", a modern covered Bullring, where people who attend to the festival will enjoy comfortably the concerts.

METALLICA Frontman Comments On 'Taliban-Like Beard' Rumor

Finland's MTV3 conducted an interview with METALLICA frontman James Hetfield in Helsinki on Sunday, July 15. Watch the interview in two parts: Part#1, Part#2.
During the chat, Hetfield was asked about the report that he was detained by U.K. airport security earlier in the month on his way to performing in London for Live Earth.
Britain's The Times claimed that Hetfield was held and questioned due to what friends called his "Taliban-like beard." According to the paper, the METALLICA singer was briefly questioned before "red-faced" officials realized he was a rock star.
Speaking to MTV3, Hetfield said of his beard, "There's a rumor going around that I was stopped at an airport for having this. They thought I was — it's just a made-up rumor — that I was some terrorist or something. I haven't seen many terrorists with tattoos, so…"

It's finally time to oficially announce the news, which have been kept secret by the band for the last couple of months. The wait is over! "Mental Electricity" soon to
be available on the Polish market. A must-have for the collectors!!!
On the 22nd of June HD entered a contract on releasing an exclusive version of "Mental Electricity". Diachell Music from Olsztyn is planning to release a limited amount of 500 copies in autumn'07. First 150 copies will also include an A2- poster.
The CD will be packed in a jewelbox and a slipcase with pressed logo. Talisac Studio Design has prepared for this occasion a brand new, intriguing and untypical design.
The inlay will also include English and Polish translations of lyrics. Apart from the very well-received debut-MCD the band remastered the tracks and enriched them with some previously unreleased songs. The limited series will be hand-numbered. For those, who purchase the CD before the release, there'll be a photo with autographs added (number limited to 50 copies). More details available at d-hell@tlen.pl

We're happy to let everyone know that the writing for AXEMASTER's long awaited new full length CD tentatively titled "The Second Coming" has been completed and the
recording will start soon. It will be a long process as there are 15 songs and everyone involved want to take the time to make sure everything comes out kick ass!
The songwriting, musicianship, and recording of this release will be better than anything the band has previously done, a fitting comeback effort from a project that never strayed from their metal roots! Three of the songs that will be re-recorded and included on the CD can be found on the AXEMASTER Myspace page at

DUBLIN DEATH PATROL (DDP), the new band featuring TESTAMENT singer Chuck Billy and former EXODUS vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza, is making its long-awaited debut CD available via its official web site.
Billy originally teamed up with fellow Dublin, California ragers Willy Lange (RAMPAGE, LAAZ ROCKIT), Souza and three of the Billy brothers as well as some other local Dublin boys.
The seeds were planted in or about 1980 with a Bay Area thrash band called RAMPAGE, featuring neighborhood kids from Dublin, California — Chuck Billy, along with his brother Andy Billy, Greg Bustamante, Ernie Boehm and Willy Lange. The guys were about 18 years old and had all known each other since they were about five. They grew up listening to a variety of bands — from LED ZEPPELIN, KISS, AEROSMITH to THE DEAD KENNEDYS and THE SEX PISTOLS — and were influenced by the sounds of the late '70s and early '80s.
This time period was a great time for a bunch of kids who lived out in the 'burbs, and the boys from Dublin with their long hair and their naïve attitudes would go to the clubs to rage and see THE DEAD KENNEDYS and whatever punk shows that trails through the Bay Area. Lange recalled, "We learned quickly that people in the big city were a little different." The boys from Dublin got into more than a few fights before any reputation was established, and hence the DUBLIN DEATH PATROL was born.
