Formed in the coldest north of Minneapolis in April of 2009, the four wielders of the Wolvhammer were drawn together by both a shared love of Celtic Frost, EyeHateGod, Motorhead, and Bathory, and a shared disdain for the corrupt, decaying capitalist society that confronted them each day. Drummer H. R. recalls,
“We wanted to take the things we loved about old school black metal/post-punk/hardcore/doom/rock and infuse that into something truly honest. No bullshit Satanism or sensationalism, just pure honest hatred for religion, capitalism, politics, sheep mentality and typical human behaviour. We wanted to write simple, memorable, and truly hate-filled metal anthems for ourselves and all the other blue collar, working poor, and generally unsatisfied people who are looking for something raw and classic as soundtrack to rise up and fight the status quo around them in any way they see fit to do. Whether you decide to speak up or just completely turn your back on the world, this is for us and all the other people out there that know we've been lied too, and no matter what may have been promised, know that we're all still being lied too. There is no hope.”

Mexican doom rockers MALIGNO will support METALLICA and MASTODON on the Mexican leg of their 2010 "Death Magnetic" world tour.

Providence, RI progressive metallic hardcore ragers The Empire Shall Fall (featuring ex-Killswitch Engage and Seemless throat Jesse Leach on vocals) have posted two new behind the scenes webisodes online, as well as footage of "The Kingdom" from a recent live performance in Brooklyn, NY.
The videos are the most recent installments in a series of behind the scenes footage created by the band’s close friend Kyle Regan that documents The Empire Shall Fall's experience releasing their debut LP, Awaken, via guitarist Nick Sollecito’s Angle Side Side Records.

Cryophobia is absolutely new single by Preternatural, that has concequently led to an idea of making the band's first official video. The idea of the video and the song itself is based on a theory of "a living planet", that considers humanity as the parasite and has no will to sustaine the symbiosis, putting an end to all mankind using cold as an extinction.
The video was shot in Riga during May-June,with the help of "Pratapalata movies" guided by two masters of vanguard images Janis Krivans and Armands Erglis.
