Will GUNS N' ROSES's classic lineup and METALLICA perform at this year's Download Festival? Legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin seems to think so. According to a February 3, 2006 posting on Halfin's official web site, "the original lineup [of GUNS N' ROSES] is supposed to play Download in June with their metal chums, METALLICA, if Lars [Ulrich, METALLICA drummer] can be bothered to turn up."

Long-running Florida-based death metallers MONSTROSITY have announced their lineup for the upcoming "Triumph in Black" European tour, which is scheduled to kick off late March. Replacing guitarist Tony Norman (currently in MORBID ANGEL/TERRORIZER) and vocalist Jason Avery are Mark English and Brian Werner, respectively. The band is rounded out by mainman/founding member Lee Harrison on drums, guitarist Sam Molina and bassist Mike Poggione.

Floridian death metallers DEICIDE have unveiled the title of their latest album. Entitled "The Stench of Redemption", the record will be the first DEICIDE album to feature new guitarists Jack Owen (formerly of CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Ralph Santolla (ex-DEATH, ICED EARTH), who have been touring with the band since the departure of the Hoffman brothers in 2005.

The composition, riffing and guitar solo were all conceived in the spirit of Dimebag's craft. After having already reissued MASSACRA's "Final Holocaust" (1991) and "Enjoy the Violence" (1991) albums, Rusty Diamond/Shark Records have announced plans to re-release the band's third full-length album, "Signs of the Decline" (1992), on January 30. Just like the previous reissues, it will once again contain bonus material, this time six tracks off MASSACRA's fourth album, "Sick", resulting in an approximate playing time of 71 minutes.

HEALER, the Los Angeles-based band featuring former WHITE ZOMBIE drummer Ivan de Prume, will be showcasing at the Key Club in West Hollywood on Monday, January 30 at 10 p.m. sharp. The first 100 people that mention HEALER will be admitted free. HEALER will also be performing at The Joint in Beverly Hills on Saturday, February 4 and in New York on March 18 for an 18-and-older show at the Continental.

The song comes off the band's latest CD, "Shovel Headed Kill Machine", which was released on October 4 via Nuclear Blast Records. Recorded at Trident studios in Pacheco, California and mixed by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY), the follow-up to 2004's "Tempo of the Damned" is the band's first to feature new members Lee Altus (guitar; HEATHEN), Paul Bostaph (drums; ex-SLAYER, TESTAMENT, FORBIDDEN) and Rob Dukes (vocals).
